ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The department was started its journey in the year 2019, and it is one of the newest department in our college under Vidyasagar University. The department offers undergraduate General (Generic) courseonly.We are planning to open undergraduate honours course in Anthropology under Vidyasagar University for the students. The department provides a good platform for teaching-learning process with the laboratory.&nbsp; The students can access computers with internet connection. The teachers of the department also provide relevant study materials to ease the lessons. The mode of teaching varies from class lecture to interactive sessions with the ICT facilities that favour the students not only to learn anthropology but also to practice its knowledge within the college premises under the changing scenario of Choice Based Credit System in Undergraduate Curriculum. Good Student-Teacher relationship with regular interactions and one to one counselling by the faculty members for improvement of students&rsquo; academic performances.To overcome deficiencies in specific skill or knowledge of the students we offer special classes either online or offline mode for achieving expected competencies of the students in core academic skills and in this way academically weak student may bridge the gap between themselves and their peers. The strategies included re-teaching, using alternative instructional tactics, task analysis, additional practice and extra class tests.
